LETTEREASE Fonts
With LETTEREASE, design and layout work is
easy. LETTEREASE improves AutoCAD's text and
text handling capabilities by adding a large range of modern,
artistic, and decorative fonts, and many enhanced commands that
help you quickly produce professional graphic layouts.
LETTEREASE has over 113 fonts, and most
fonts include the International Character Set.
LETTEREASE has a Dialog Box Interface
with On-Line Help. Because LETTEREASE works inside
AutoCAD, with AutoCAD based entities, it offers the ultimate in
WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) output.
Most Fonts are provided in six formats:
Outline Text
This high quality outline text is supplied in the standard
AutoCAD shape (.SHX) file. All curves are made up of true arcs,
not straight line segments. This allows lettering to be plotted
at large scales without the degradation of quality normally associated
with shape file text. This standard
is also supplied in a mono-spaced form.
Low Density Filled Text
This high quality filled text is also supplied as an AutoCAD
shape (.SHX) file. This low density line filled lettering features
a double outline to ensure smooth edges, with all curves being
true arcs, not straight line segments. The low density fill allows
the lettering to remain solid up to 3/4 inch when plotted with
a .50 mm pen. This standard is also
supplied In a mono-spaced form.
High Density Filled Text
This lettering standard is similar to the Low
Density Filled Text; however the line filling
is at a higher density. This permits solid lettering up to 1 1/2
inch when plotted with a .50 mm pen. Of course, increasing the
pen size will allow even larger lettering. This
standard is also supplied in a mono-spaced form.
Precision Outline Blocks
This lettering standard is in Block format. Each letter is
an individual drawing consisting of actual arc and line entities
meeting at true tangents. Perfect accuracy is assured at any size,
even five feet or more. Free from the editing
limitations of shape files (SHX.), letters can be customized,
overlapped, and edited to create artistic logos and designs. The
extreme accuracy of this standard makes it suitable for producing
full size sign patterns or for use in precision computer machining
and manufacturing.
